Wardrobe Basics
Great to be back to the blog today. It was such a busy week last week with the launch of the Corporate Style Club (see our Facebook page.)
We had a fantastic night and really enjoyed hosting you all. So if you missed it, out look out for our next Spring Event in September.
Today I want to tackle wardrobe basics as many people ask me to give them a new look and start from scratch. They want a new beginning. Check out our live talk about this on Wednesday on CTV as well. I will have a great looks from Max Fashions – a wardrobe that is affordable and practical for both home and work.
Suggested garments are as follows:
1. 1 pair of dressy trousers – go for a pair with stretch and in a dark colour that can be easily laundered. A good fabric (not denim or track suiting!).
2. 1 classic skirt – go with a straight or full skirt. Something fun also works. There a plenty of good options for spring. Wear opaque’s and boots and vamp the look up for evening with sheer tights and heels.
3. 2 tops – a dressy and a basic. Go for a print and team it up with the basic on the cooler days.
4. 1 jacket to take to you work or play. Something structured that gives you shape.
5. 1 cardigan – these are not reserved for the Granny’s amongst us. Everyone looks good in a cardy. They keep up warm, add colour and interest.
6. A funky necklace – depending on your skintone; silver for cool undertones and gold for the warmer undertone.
Check out the photos below and some more on Wednesday for some inspiration! Images are from Max.
Please let me know what you would like to see coming up on the blog, so we can provide for everyone!
