It can be a real challenge as a parent trying to ensure that our teens dress well and look trendy in both their and our eyes.

There are a couple of basic things that we need to look at that will make sure they look respectable and we aren’t worried they will be mistaken as something less desirable:

1. Too much leg and boob will attract the attention of all males not just the ones of their age! Make sure they know that if things get a bit tight, short or low.
2. It is not expensive to look good. Often teens are still growing so its important that you keep the cost down until you stop growing. Try stores like Lippy, Glassons, Wild Pair, Dotti, Supre and Max.
3. Teens can get away with things that adults cant because quite simply they are younger All the advantages of youth allow you to wear minis and clothes designed for your age group. The latest fashions are designed with youth in mind.
4. Watch the make up. Get a lesson and suss out what suits you make sure it is not to heavy. Thick foundation looks terrible and everyone knows it is foundation! Make up should look natural and enhance your own beauty.
5. So what is hot for teens this summer: colour blocking, lace, sheer maxi skirts, kakhi and navy, acid brights and sheer fabrics. All the chain stores will have these trends in store sooner rather than later!

So when the snow clears and then sun pops out then we can get that pearly white skin out into the sunlight and look for some new summer inspiration!
